NXG Owner’s Guide Guidelines for safe operation, proper care, and warranty compliance

1
Introduction

Congratulations on the acquisition of your NXG Truck Body. This manual outlines key responsibilities for safe operation, proper maintenance, and warranty compliance. NXG bodies are commercial-grade platforms engineered for demanding environments. Failure to follow these guidelines may lead to unsafe conditions and void your warranty.

2
Intended Use & Owner Responsibility

NXG bodies are engineered for commercial, industrial, and fleet use. It is your responsibility as the owner to ensure:

  • Installation meets chassis OEM and FSM requirements

  • The body is used within rated capacity and legal limits

  • Loads are properly distributed and secured

  • Compliance with NHTSA and DOT standards is maintained

Deviation from these standards is at the user’s sole risk.

3
Installation Guidelines

NXG strongly recommends installation by a certified upfit facility. The body must not be operated in conditions that exceed its design limitations. Improper installation or weight distribution may cause structural failure and void warranty coverage.

4
Safety Labels & Warnings

All NXG bodies come with warning and attention labels affixed to both interior and exterior surfaces. These must remain visible at all times. It is imperative that operators and personnel adhere to all posted instructions without exception.

5
Maintenance Protocols

Routine maintenance is essential for safe operation and longevity:

  • Inspect fasteners, bolts, and weld points monthly

  • Wash body and underside regularly—avoid abrasive chemicals

  • Pressure wash with caution to preserve the finish

  • Check and lubricate hinges, latches, and locks with white lithium grease

  • Apply marine grease to gooseneck and receiver balls when equipped

  • Inspect for rust or corrosion, especially in high-contact areas

  • Reapply protective coatings as needed
Improper cleaning may void warranty claims related to finish or corrosion.

6
Operational Safety

Before operating, perform a visual inspection for loose components or wear.

  • Confirm all lighting and electrical function correctly

  • Never exceed the truck body’s load rating

  • Always secure cargo using appropriate tie-downs

  • Drive cautiously with heavy or uneven loads—avoid sudden stops or sharp turns
